From Field Trips to diverse cultural learning activities, exciting sports, and academic events, along with numerous other unique experiences, WASSers have acquired useful lessons that have helped them develop skills and foster creativity.

1. Field Trips Filled with Laughter and Joy of WASSers

From March 29 to April 1, 2024, the Primary and Secondary WASSers had “cool” Practical Learning Field Trips at The Amazing Bay and Dam Sen Cultural Park.

In the middle of hot weather, WASSers could immerse themselves in the cool water, enjoy unique water games, and overcome the fun challenges of the team-building games.

After days of diligent study, the trips provided WASSers with wonderful moments of relaxation. More importantly, the students had the opportunity to improve their physical health, enhance teamwork spirit, promote problem-solving skills, and “collect” more unforgettable memories on their educational journey at WASS.

2. Little WASSers Released Energy with Sports Day 2024

Little WASSers were “on fire” for exciting sports and activities during Sports Day 2024 with the theme “Little Champions Challenge.”

From April 9 to April 11, 2024, the little WASSers had thrilling competitions. They competed with their best in activities such as continuous action games, scooter racing, tug of war, sack racing, sack jumping, soccer, cheerleading, and other competitions.

Each “little athlete” of WASS Kindergarten has demonstrated enthusiastic sportsmanship and delivered spectacular competitions. Through exciting competition rounds, Sports Day 2024 has instilled the fire of sports passion, and promoted healthy competition spirit, and solidarity among students.

3. The Model United Nations Has Contributed to Nurturing Future Leaders

On April 12 and 13, WASS organized the Model United Nations Conference (MUN) – a simulated conference for students, mirroring actual United Nations meetings.

At the Model United Nations, WASSers played the role of leaders, representing different countries, engaging in discussions, and proposing solutions to various global economic and political issues based on the perspectives of their respective countries.

To successfully complete their tasks, students need to flexibly apply knowledge across diverse topics such as health, defense, security, education, and economics of many countries around the world. Furthermore, the “little ambassadors” at WASS demonstrated their skills in communication, criticism, negotiation, and strategizing to resolve conflicts peacefully and effectively.

The Model United Nations is a useful playground for WASSers to access diverse knowledge sources, develop necessary skills, and enhance global awareness, creating a foundation for them to create positive changes for the world’s future.

4. Little WASSers Had Fun with the Songkran Festival

The Songkran Festival is a special holiday celebrating the New Year of the Thai people. On April 15, 2024, this special festival was recreated at the schoolyard of WASS Kindergarten. The little WASSers had fun in the miniature water world and experienced the special activities.

The event, organized by the School, aimed to allow students to experience the real-life activities of this festival and learn about the cultural beauty of the Thai people.

Immersed in the special festival of the Thai people, the little WASSers discovered the magic of water when participating in water “battles,” freely playing with friends and teachers, and exploring the wonders of water through exciting activities such as playing in the artificial rain showers, water gun shooting, ball passing games, fishing, and many other fascinating activities.

The little WASSers enjoyed moments of relaxation under the cool water in the refreshing green area of the schoolyard as well as played and learned new things, embodying the meaning of the Songkran Festival, which is to cast away worries and embrace joy, happiness, and peace for the new year.

5. The WASS Community Has Responded to Earth Week

The Spirit Week of WASS in April 2024 took place with the message of action for the environment and the future. Accordingly, the School organized Earth Week from April 22 – 26, 2024 with the theme “Empowering a Greener Future.”

All students from Kindergarten to Year 12 joined together in this special week and participated in learning activities on the topic of protecting the environment and the Earth. Therefore, the WASSers’ awareness was raised as they joined forces to take action for the environment and our planet.

Additionally, on April 22, 23, 24, and 26, 2024, WASSers from all campuses came together wearing green shirts to school to demonstrate their commitment to preserving the Earth’s greenery. The learning spaces of WASSers became livelier as they were adorned with refreshing green hues.

April 2024 the WASS community has been filled with numerous exciting events and engaging activities. These will surely be wonderful pages of memories in the academic year diary of 2023 – 2024 for the students.
