Dear Parents and Students,

So, WASS teachers and the students have had very special May days. It is a pity that we have to suddenly leave school due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic across the country. On the last day of school, the faces of the students and their looks of surprise and sadness when they had to say goodbye to teachers and friends. WASS knows that even if our students don’t want to end the school year this way, they understand it is something that they have to do to keep ourselves and everyone in the community safe. WASS also wants you to understand that stopping to go to school, studying online, or taking an early summer vacation will not affect your learning or understanding and assimilation of knowledge, because the whole world of knowledge exists through the pages of books waiting to be discovered. Be confident and prove to your teachers and parents that you are the generation of students in the 4.0 era – the pioneer generation to determine their own future.

Dear Year 12 Students,

You have spent the last years of high school especially with two consecutive years having to miss school many times from school because of the COVID-19 epidemic. You can’t have full semesters, can’t have the same field trips as in the past years. Now, as summer approaches, the high school graduation exams are also approaching and you cannot go to school directly to review the necessary content for the upcoming exam.

With all faith, WASS hopes that you will overcome these challenges to become more mature; to better understand the preciousness of love and solidarity; to have more strength, and bravery to face the challenges posed. As long as you are diligent and make the required effort, self-study and online review will also promote many advantages and be effective. The teachers of the Western Australian School System will help you prepare to reach your potential for the upcoming exams.

In the near future, you will continue the remaining journey of your student years, bringing your bravery, talents, and wisdom that the teachers have trained over the years to open the gate of dreams, success, and of a bright future. This special school year will be the most precious memory that you will always remember for the future, no matter where you are or what you do. Stay strong and confident with every decision you make. The teachers of the Western Australian  International School System will always be by your side and watch over you.

Hopefully, we will still meet again, to write the ending of a wonderful school year, to share and save the beautiful years of being a student with our friends, teachers and families.
