In the 4.0 era, the development and technological breakthroughs such as artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), have provided students with even more ways to learn and acquire knowledge… Applying technology in the field of education has helped improve lecture efficiency, and has brought new and creative experiences for both teachers and students.
As technology advances modern education and training is also gradually changing and adapting. Moving from traditional teaching methods to applying technological innovations to convey knowledge. Virtual reality (VR) is a breakthrough technology that is currently focused and prioritized in the application of education in Vietnam, bringing more experiences in learning field.
- The application of virtual reality technology at school hours will provide the most intuitive and accessible view for students and teachers. Students will interact and reach out to objects in the virtual environment to explore and seek a better understanding. This stimulates children’s learning and allows students to understand the lessons/materials taught.
- VR offers unique interoperability, it promotes long distance education models (modern education methods are being focused and developed). This allows students to communicate, chat or study with people all over the world. VR can overcome the limitations of geographical separation and greatly reduces travel cost.
- VR is also used for high performance subjects such as construction, architecture, tourism, biology or any expertise that needs to reconstruct historical images.
- VR is used to develop surgical or holographic simulations of the human body with a mechanism to relay information in real time. This enables students to simulate a real operation or procedure.
VR is the future of learning, it brings intuition and vivid training methods to modern education. In addition, it helps to make children’s learning processes much more interesting. VR also helps to improve the educational environment by saving resources and improving the quality of students’ learning.
Through visits and experiences about virtual reality technology, WASS believes that it will help children have motivating experiences about this subject. In the coming years, WASS hopes to update and bring to our students a completely new learning method. This method will help children access learning lessons in a more exciting way. VR will also allow students to retain learned information and knowledge quicker and easier.
