In the past, education only focused on specialized lessons, now life skills play a very important role is a focus here at WASS
As the economy grows, the demand for human resources at both domestic and foreign companies also increases. An excellent individual not only needs expertise, but should be able to use support skills such as communication, time management, teamwork and leadership effortlessly. These skills cannot be easily obtained, but it requires education, practice and training for a long time.
Here at WASS, we believe that life skills education is one of the most important aspects of the school’s educational program. From preschool age, life skills courses have been integrated into our program in the form of fun games to help students learn the most basic communication skills and behavioral skills. With older children, the lessons are also improved so that it is suitable for the age and psychology as well as sticking to practical needs.
Life Skills education encourages WASS students to take responsibility and fosters collaboration and cooperation. By working in a group, you develop a greater sense of self-awareness, and appreciation for others. These benefits develop into skills that are vital in the workplace, including teamwork, time and resource management, the potential for leadership and the ability to adapt to different roles.
Beside, WASS parents can also take an active role in teaching life skills at home with projects that provide real-world examples and lessons in decision-making and problem-solving. They can be as simple as assigning household chores and budgeting exercises through an allowance, caring for a pet or volunteering in the community.
With this information, it is hoped that parents will have more tips to develop life skills for children, not only at school but also at home.
