Western Australian Primary and High School ranked among the Top 100 schools in Vietnam
25.03.2015
Western Australian Primary and High School increasingly gains the trust of parents and receives approval by Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training. The school constantly strives to improve the quality of education and modernize the facilities and the equipment, and qualified and experienced teachers provide students with a friendly atmosphere. Additionally, the school places emphasis on teaching life skills and organizing activities that are beneficial for the students’ development. With regards to these achievements, Western Australian Primary and High School was named one of the Top 100 schools in Vietnam during the 14th “Golden Dragon Enterprises” festival (Doanh nghiệp Rồng vàng) and the 11th “Strongest Brands in Vietnam” awards ceremony on March 20, 2015 in Hanoi.
The school is considered to be one of the most modern and friendliest school in Ho Chi Minh City; therefore, it keeps attracting more and more students. The number of students has been increasing for the past years and will continue to increase during the years to come. In order to meet the needs of a higher number of students, the school is constantly improving its facilities and equipment. The classrooms are spacious and airy, and practical knowledge is just as important as theoretical knowledge. There is also a library with many different books for students to explore.
On top of that, our highly qualified teaching staff ensures that students learn well. The schedule includes a scientific curriculum and other academic programs as well as playtime for the children. The bilingual program combines an international program based on the standard framework of Western Australian Government and the Vietnamese program based on the standard framework of Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training. This means that the students receive an advanced education, but at the same time, they maintain traditional Vietnamese values. Therefore, parents do not need to worry that their children will be “Westernized,” a common worry among parents who send their children to international schools.
A pleasant atmosphere is important to make students feel comfortable at school and to help them connect with each other, thus avoiding conflicts and violence. Students have a good relationship with their teachers and classmates; school should feel like a second home to them.
The school is dedicated to teaching students knowledge and solid skills to help them develop. Children’s education is not just about acquiring knowledge, it is also about learning life skills and participating in extra-curricular activities. Western Australian Primary and High School offers a variety of extra-curricular activities for students to choose from, and students are encouraged to participate in them, as the activities have many benefits and provide an opportunity for students to get to know each other and their teachers better, while they can play and relax after class.
The school aims to create a good learning environment to help students thrive
Each student has potential, and it is the school’s duty to help and inspire them to develop their full potential. The students’ strengths also help the school grow. For example, some of the most talented students are musician Phương Mỹ Chi (“Á quân Giọng hát Việt nhí 2013”), musician Hoàng Anh (“Á quân Giọng hát Việt nhí 2014”), and dancer Phan Thiên Thảo (“Quán quân Bước nhảy Hoàn vũ nhí 2014”). The school has a separate program for them, which gives them more flexibility in order to pursue their passions.
The students’ development matters most. The school wants to provide them with knowledge and solid skills to prepare them for the future. Western Australian Primary and High School strives to offer its students the best education. To be named as one of the Top 100 schools in Vietnam honors the teachers’ efforts and the quality of education at our school.
