The summer course of 2020 of the Western Australian International School System has ended with many unforgettable memories and emotions for the students. The children had a meaningful summer, became more mature and learned many useful life skills.
Based on the American Program – and the core subjects according to The Common Core standards – the WASS summer course has been an interesting playground for them to experience. The subjects in the summer program were mainly taught in English, which improved and developed the children’s foreign language abilities. The lessons were carefully organised, which helped WASSers apply knowledge and thinking skills appropriately. In addition, the art, music, technology, sports and outdoor activities were arranged carefully which provided students with a dynamic and effective learning environment.
Every day, the students were always happy and eager to participate in the learning and playing activities that the teachers had organized. To share from “Thien An” – a student of class Summer 5A: “Although it was only 5 weeks, Summer School brought me a lot of joy. The subjects such as music, science, and ceramics were very interesting and have given me more confidence to experience new knowledge in the future. I hope next year I can join the summer course of WASS again to be able to develop all my abilities !”
And so the new school year is coming, WASS hopes that all WASSers will have good preparations to continue their path to conquer new horizons of knowledge. See you again in the new school year of 2020 – 2021.
