In The World Scholar’s Cup 2019, the Western Australian International School System team has achieved many great successes throughout the journey. Especially in the final round of the Tournament of Champions, the champions brought the school 21 medals in the individual and team awards. In addition to the “rain of medals” that the students have gained, the basic learning skills, experiences and useful lessons are an indispensable factor throughout the journey.
Our students were qualified for the Ho Chi Minh City round, followed by the Global Round in Sydney and finally the Final Tournament of Champions in the United States. WASSers are instructed on some basic study skills to enhance the self-study ability and familiarize themself with the WSC exam forms. These are also essential skills throughout the student’s life. The debate with student groups from more than 70 countries around the world is their most impressive experience. WASSers had not only the great experience from the competition but also are very impressed with the beautiful natural landscape in the United States.
To have the great success of the WASSers at the contest, teachers and parents accompanied the delegation, which was a solid foundation for the WASSers to be confident and wholehearted on the international stage.
This is also a testament to the hard work and studious of young people of the Western Australian International School System. The story of success, after a worldwide prestigious “Global Learning Festival” like the WSC, will inspire and motivate students to take the next year’s WSC exam.
Let’s take a look at the short video below to look back on the journey of the WASSers in the final round of the WSC 2019 Tournament of Champions.
