Dear parents,

In response to the threatful Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), which is an acute respiratory disease and in order to ensure the best preventative measures and minimise transmission within our school environment; as well as to provide the best protection for our school’s students and staff, the Board of Principals at WASS would like to kindly inform parents of the school being temporarily suspended as detailed below:

– School suspension period: From 17/02/2020 to 29/02/2020.

– During this period of absence, to ensure the study progress of students, students are responsible to complete homework, review activities,  assigned tasks, assignments and projects as requested by their subject teachers in accordance with the timetable on Google Classroom. Teachers will teach online each day according to the timetable and guide students to study at home. At the same time, students will  complete their homework using the application:  https://quizizz.com/. The code number for Google Classroom will be sent through via SMS and the email of the parents before 11:00am on 16/02/2020. We kindly ask parents to thoroughly read the guide on usage of Google Classroom, as well as support and encourage students to study at home.  In case there is any technical support needed, please feel free to send an email to it@wass.local or call our hotline 0963999702.

– During this time, if students or relatives in the family have any symptoms related to the COVID-19, please kindly inform our school nurse and send the Health certificate confirming good health from a Doctor before returning to school.

Note: during this period of absence, the school will allocate make-up days to ensure the requirements of  the academic school year timetable is met.The timetable for the online classes will be considered as the official timetable, hence no make-up days will be applied for these days. The school will reimburse the meal fee, school bus fee and boarding fee (if applicable) for this period of absence at the end of the school year.
