During the field trip to Hoa Lua Farm in the beginning of July, WASSers had the opportunity to become cute little farmers, harmonized with nature and learnt how to cook traditional cuisine.
Each trip of WASS is a new journey to discover our fantastic world. The trips bring about valuable lessons and memorable memories of childhood. At Hoa Lua Farm, WASSers participated in many exciting activities through practical experiences such as growing rice plants, catching catfish and snake-fish, making soil animals and cooking traditional cake… Besides that, WASSers enjoyed outdoor activities including tug of war, bag jumping and blind man’s buff,…
The highlight activity of this excursion was rice cultivation. In the green space of the rice paddy fields, WASSers splashed plated rice in the fields. This meaningful experience was meant to nourish the students’ souls and help WASSers appreciate the beauty of nature and people around them.
The integration between outdoor activities and life skills made the trip become more compelling and memorable for all WASSers. WASSers learnt how to become a better person and gained knowledge in a practical manner.
During the trip, WASSers laughed out loud and enjoyed each game till the end of the excursion to Hoa Lua Farm. The Western Australian School System hopes that WASSers had an unforgettable and amazing journey.
