After a month of intensive learning in the new school year, this September, teachers, and students of Pre-primary classes will have a field trip to Ve Que Ecotourism Village. Here, they will spend a day as a farmer, growing rice, growing vegetables, catching fish, etc. Especially, WASSers will be trained to improve health and team spirit through the helpful games organized by the teachers and guides.
Besides, the students will have the opportunity to develop their creativity and talents. WASS will officially open after-school clubs in September. The clubs are an integral part of the goal of developing primary students’ personality, enabling them to practice what they have learned, as well as maximizing the potential of each individual. Students can easily choose the club which is suitable for their interests, talents, and passion among 20 clubs. The school believes that after experiencing the clubs, WASSers will increase their confidence with the knowledge and skills they have gained, which will lay a solid foundation for their future.
In September, in addition to the extracurricular activities and clubs, WASS also jubilantly welcomes special festivals with both international and traditional Vietnamese values. First of all, the World Cultural Exchange Week is held from 12th to 15th of September, 2018 and it is integrated into the study program to help WASSers understand the colorful cultures, art, and typical cuisine of different countries. Then it is the annual activity of Spirit Day series at the Western Australian School System. WASSers will wear the blue shirt to school on the “Peace Day” on 21st of September, 2018 to respond to the spirit of solidarity and co-operation the culture of International Peace Day. Contributing to maintaining the cultural values and good traditions of the nation, WASS continues to hold the program “Mid-Autumn Festival” on 24th of September with many attractive activities. Accordingly, the students will have the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of an old Mid-Autumn Festival in which they make star lanterns, display five-fruit tray, attend a lantern procession, watch lion dance as well as join the repertoire. dance music, and interesting folk games.
