The first week of December has passed by with the event, the “Golden Week of kindness”. These days, the Western Australian International School receives numerous lovely questions from our students. One student whispered to his teacher, “Can I donate my shoes and toys? or “Is there anyone who can fit into my clothes” softly.
Parents always wish that their child, will become a good, compassionate and loving person. The word “kindness” in each person will be a determining factor in their “success” in life with virtue and wisdom, which always go hand in hand. The event the “Golden of kindness” bought donations of clothing, old shoes, notebooks for poor children and orphans was held in the first week of December at the Western Australia International School. This program helps students spread their compassion and care to the surrounding people, especially those in need. Moreover, the activity was helped by WASS’s parents, who encouraged and helped the students show their “kindness” during the “Golden week of kindness”.
The Western Australian School System (WASS) believes that these beautiful actions of the children should be encouraged not only at school through social activities, but also in their daily lives in society. A true “global citizens” always encompasses knowledge and the capacity to build a more prosperous world, and they are also a compassionate person who contributes their love for this society.
