Combining the elements of modern teaching methodology with the traditional and cultural values of Vietnam, Western Australian International School System (WASS) offers an ideal educational environment to train a generation of excellent students who will benefit by gaining a holistic education embracing both mental and physical development. The Western Australian School System is proud to be the first and only school licensed to deliver the Australian curriculum for students from Kindergarten to high school level. The following points are considered to be the principle reasons for WASS’ outstanding successes in past years:
International program
The International Program runs for students from Grades 1 to 9 and is taught entirely in English. The Curriculum and Assessment Outline is provided by the Western Australian School Curriculum and Standards Authority. After completing Grade 9, students will have an opportunity to participate in the International Baccalaureate Program and leading to a certified International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) which is recognised worldwide.
Bilingual program
The Bilingual Program is based on the Australian Curriculum and is combined with the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training national educational program. At the beginning of high school, students will be offered a diverse range of subject choices in line with their academic levels.
TEACHERS
The teachers have high level qualifications, and are both experienced and dedicated. Teachers of the Western Australian Program come from Canada, America, Australia and the UK and have been qualified and trained for professional standards set by Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
Early years programs
The Preschool Program is unique, effective, and especially helps children to develop comprehensively from these early years. The program is aimed to orient students towards bilingual and international programs in the next stage of schooling.
Extracurricular activities
Many extracurricular activities are organized monthly during the whole school year in order to bring the students a range of stimulating experiences beyond the walls of the classroom.
Facility
Modern and high quality facilities are provided at WASS to meet the varying educational goals. The classrooms and laboratories for Mathematics – Physics – Chemistry – Biology are fully equipped with advanced teaching equipment. There is a large sports field and a well-stocked library at the school.
