The Halloween event was a combination of a costume festival and magic and novelty performances. It gave WASSers the chance to enjoy a memorable and exciting Halloween night.
This year, the Halloween Party was held exclusively for 6-12 Graders in a spectacular, yet spooky, venue. The event started with the challenging “Devil’s Cave” maze to welcome WASSers to a mysterious night. Students dressed up as vampires, mummies, witches, and other characters and checked in at the dark eerie basement, where they are spooked by the hair-raising decorations.
WASSers were also eager to carve pumpkins, decorate a Halloween banquette, and join a freakish feast. The game stalls with their ghostly games and activities also attracted many WASSers to join the fun and win many prizes. Students could also learn about their future through fortune telling games. The highlight of the night was the magnificent outdoor stage which created Halloween spirit for the event and gave 8-12 Graders the chance to prove their creativity, bravery, and talents when invited to perform.
Students from Kindergarten and Primary School also participated in separate festivities by attending school in Halloween costumes. There were witches, grim reapers, cats, ghosts, and many popular cartoon characters.
Everyone was joyful to save their cute yet spooky moments by taking pictures together. Furthermore, students from kindergarten, first grade, and second grade had the chance to participate in a unique fashion show and enjoy many other games organized by third, fourth, and fifth graders. Our children especially enjoyed the fun and colorful magic show, as well as the “Trick or Treat” activity.
Halloween was a great opportunity to educate WASSers about the importance of saying thank you when receiving their Halloween treats. Furthermore, instead of being greedy and selfish, we should all remember to help people in need.
