Letter from the Board of Principals

Dear Parents and Students,

Spring is upon us and WASS plans to hold a series of festive events to celebrate the new year. During this wonderful time of transition, let’s have a look at the journey that our school and the students have gone through.

2020 was a year of turmoil and challenge, but WASS has achieved proud successes. Together in the national fight against the epidemic COVID – 19, WASS has taken measures to prevent and stop the spread of the epidemic within our schools, while still ensuring the quality of students’ learning.

This school year has been an important milestone for our students, as the school began the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) and Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) classes. This is also the first year that WASS has commenced the American Diploma Program (ADP). With the introduction of our 6th campus in the WASS family – Penn School, combined with the implementation of new core content to support students’ learning, the school wants to provide more choices that accommodate the diverse needs of our students.

We always appreciate the role of practical learning and experience, confidence and critical thinking, social and cultural knowledge. Through WASS-funded charitable activities and green-theme field trips “For the environment,” WASS also demonstrates our school’s responsibility to the community, helping students to learn to develop love and sympathy for others in need – a major achievement during WASS school year of 2020-2021.

As we are about to enter the year of the Ox 2021, the Board of Principals of WASS would like to express our sincere thanks to all parents, students, teachers and staff, who have contributed to creating a harmonious, friendly and developed community. The Western Australian School System wishes all students and parents a prosperous and successful new year. We hope that WASS continues to improve and serves as the second home for generations of students, paving the way for their dreams to become reality.

Happy New Year!
