Letter from the Board of Principals

Dear Parents and Students of the Western Australian School System,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. This time of the year is globally seen as a time for joy and family celebration, whilst also giving us a chance to look back at the year and all of the challenges and joys we have experienced.

Before entering a new journey, let’s take a look back at the year 2020. We have had many challenges and successes this year both worldwide and as a school community. The world of education was not spared from the impact of COVID-19. As a school, our teaching was disrupted and we had to find new and innovative ways to ensure the learning and education of our students continued. It was also vital that the high standards our school community expects and deserves were maintained.

Now, here we are at Christmas again and about to enter a new year. The COVID-19 vaccines have been created and we can see a clear path to safety and the wellbeing of our children in the future. As a school community and society, we can move forward into the future and create success and ensure the academic achievement of our students.

We can celebrate with joy and enthusiasm in the new year and all that it will bring. The love of family and friends and a successful WASS school system are great things to celebrate.

On behalf of everyone at WASS, I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and an unbelievable and prosperous New Year.

Best regards,

The Board of Principals of WASS
