Teaching and Learning

WASS’s mission to educate and nurture our global citizens as well as future leaders by focusing on methodologies in both learning and teaching are our core target in order to bring a world-class education to all WASS students. Ensuring teaching quality and providing an international environment are our main priorities.

Teaching and learning methods applied at WASS include:

  • Project-based Learning
  • Team-based Learning
  • Technology-integrated Learning
  • Outcomes-based Learning
  • Personalized Learning
  • Inquiry-based Learning
  • Competency-based Training
  • Blended and Online Learning

Inquiry-based Learning

Inquiry-based Learning is a form of active learning that starts by posing questions, problems, or scenarios. It contrasts with traditional education, which generally relies on the teacher presenting facts and his or her knowledge about the subject. Inquiry-based learning is often assisted by a facilitator rather than a lecturer.

Inquirers will identify and research issues and questions to develop knowledge or solutions. Inquiry-based learning includes problem-based learning and is generally used in small-scale investigations and projects, as well as research The inquiry-based instruction is principally very closely related to the development and practice of thinking and problem-solving skills.

Team-based Learning

Team-based Learning is a collaborative learning and teaching strategy that enables people to follow a structured process to enhance student engagement and the quality of student or trainee learning.

Team-based learning methodology can be used in any classroom or training session at an international school.

Technology-integrated Learning

Technology-integrated Learning (TBL) constitutes learning via electronic technology. TBL holds the promise of substantially transforming the way learning takes place because of its numerous advantages.

Among modern teaching methods, TBL fosters greatest and fastest access to learning at anytime and anywhere. Modern society can not deny the advantages of technological development as well as its impacts on our life. With a wide range of technology implications, applying TBL is an adaptation for future learning and teaching methods that we are now offering at WASS.

Collaborative Teaching and Learning

Collaborative Teaching and Learning is an educational approach to teaching and learning that involves groups of students working together to solve a problem, complete a task, or learn new concepts.

This approach actively engages learners to process and synthesize information and concepts, rather than using rote memorization of facts and figures. Learners work with each other on projects, where they must collaborate as a group to understand the concepts being presented to them.

“At WASS, we hope that our new approaches in teaching and learning methods, along with our professional and experienced team of teachers will deliver the best learning experience for WASS students as well as set them up for future success.“
