On the morning of 29/01/2016, “Spring Festival 2016” was held with joyful melodies, attractive arts performances and unique cuisine stands that were planned and executed by the students of WASS.
At the beginning, the students enlivened the proceedings with joyful spring songs. The whole conference hall is full of thrilling sound of Tet
The tourists couldn’t take their eyes off the cuisine stands which were decorated carefully and uniquely by the WASSers.
Although all WASSers had all participated in the Spring Festival last year, all of them couldn’t hide their excitement: “We had waited for this festival for months. This year, we planned decoration ideas and food menus two weeks before the festival. We hope that we would impress all the “tourists” coming by”.
Ms. Olivia, an English teacher at WASS, shared her feelings: “Tet holiday is an exciting holiday that I can’t get to experience outside of Vietnam. It was my first glimpse at seeing a truly traditional holiday.”
Beyond that, the Western Australian International School System would like to send out the following message: “The Spring Festival is not a simple entertainment activity; WASS also hopes that all people, especially the younger generations who will bring Vietnam cultures to the world, will remember and preserve the beautiful traditions of our nation. For international students, it’s an opportunity for them to learn about the colorful and multicultural life here in Vietnam.”
The Western Australian community would like to wish parents, teachers, students and staff a meaningful and warm Tet holiday with your families
