Sports Festival is one of the most expected annual events at WASS. 

There were many thrilling, exciting, and attractive sports competitions at Sports Festival 2022 with a variety of sports. Those created the excitement of this year’s event.

In addition to individual sports such as badminton and swimming, WASSers were also challenged with teamwork and collaborative skills with football, tug of war or basketball. It was not only physical sports, Sports Festival 2022 has also introduced intensive intelligent competitions with Chess and Chinese Chess. WASSers showed eye-catching performance with their intelligence, critical thinking as well as boldness in each of their moves.

WASS Sports Festival 2022 is also the first time that unique and unfamiliar sports have been held. Golf and Hockey are two of the most favorite sports at WASS physical education and seeing “athletes” compete for the first time at sport events created excitement and ignition to the audience.

The most interesting part of this year’s Sports Festival was the inter-campus competitions. It was the opportunity for WASSers to practice and improve the positive habit of physical training. WASSers also exchanged, interacted and communicated with new friends, helping them increase solidarity and create unforgettable memories at WASS. The medals and prize for the winners are the motivation to strive for their health.

However, win or lose has never been the standard of WASS Sports Festival. The endeavor, effort, and perseverance, as well as the fair-play are the most important values. Handshakes and hugs to share joys and regrets with each other, or the spirit of solidarity among members of WASS community are definitely the most beautiful and meaningful moments. In the end, those memories with friends and teachers at WASS are the most precious “medals”.

Sports Festival is the great way to bring relaxing time to students after a long school year. It also supports physical strengthening, improving health training habits as well as developing many essential skills. Sports Festival is also the opportunity to connect WASSers across all grades, increases solidarity and cooperation, and makes memorable experiences in the WASS community.
