After a relaxing summer, Year 12 WASSers have officially embarked on their final year of high school – a year filled with both meaning and challenges. They begin this journey with readiness, determination, and a burning desire to accelerate toward new milestones.
The senior year is always a special chapter, where every moment feels more significant and each goal carries the “weight” of growth and maturity. For WASSers, this is not only a year to prepare for important examinations but also a time to break through limits, turn dreams into reality, and create the most treasured memories of their student life before stepping into a new chapter.
Let’s listen to the heartfelt and inspiring reflections of our Year 12 “warriors”.
WASSer Ly Khue Anh shared, “Starting Year 12, I feel a mix of excitement and a bit of nostalgia, along with the desire to live every moment to the fullest. Things that once felt ordinary now carry deeper meaning, from teachers’ lessons to the laughter of friends and every corner of the classroom.
My goal this year is to not only achieve good academic results but also grow into a more mature version of myself – someone who can manage time, stay patient through challenges, and embrace new opportunities. My biggest challenge will be conquering the National High School Graduation Exam 2026 with outstanding results, as it will open the door to a new journey where dreams take flight. I know there will be long nights of study and moments when I feel like giving up, but I believe perseverance will lead me to success.
9 months from now, I hope I can proudly say to myself: I gave everything I had, with the energy and effort of my youth. Thank you for not giving up. Thank you for turning challenges into victories.”
For WASSer Dang Duc Bao Quyen, the senior year is an opportunity to push beyond personal limits. She has set goals to not only excel academically but also actively engage in extracurricular activities to build a compelling study-abroad profile and create lasting memories with friends and teachers. Bao Quyen shared, “One thing I want to master is time management. Balancing exams, projects, and personal hobbies is not easy, yet I believe that this skill will play a big role in my future academic pursuits. By taking small steps with discipline and consistency, I can successfully master this skill.”
Meanwhile, WASSer Whitney Huynh views Year 12 as a stressful yet rewarding year of growth, “My main goal for this final year of high school is to earn a high score on the IB Exam, which requires consistent dedication and focus. However, one major challenge I want to overcome is finding a balance between academic responsibilities and extracurricular activities. I want to remain active in school events and maintain a well-rounded experience without neglecting my studies.”
At the start of the academic year, Whitney hopes her efforts will bring deserving results and reminds herself, “I would remind myself to stay strong, give my all in preparation for important examinations, and keep my motivation alive despite the challenges. I hope that when I look back, I can truly feel proud knowing I poured all my effort into this meaningful and demanding academic year.”
The journey of senior year will surely bring difficulties, pressures, and many late nights of studying. Yet WASS believes that with ambition, resilience, and determination, Year 12 WASSers have everything it takes to transform challenges into stepping stones for remarkable breakthroughs. Families, the School, and teachers will always be by their side, supporting them through this crucial stage.
Wishing all our “warriors” an academic year full of energy, achievements, and unforgettable memories. Dream big, live wholeheartedly, and always believe in yourselves.
