With every kind act and loving gesture, WASSers continuously spread the message of peace daily. Let’s hear the WASSers’ thoughts and discover how they carry out this meaningful mission!

Peace, a concept that seems distant, actually begins with simple, kind acts that we can perform daily.

With each kind gesture and sincere word, WASSers continuously spread the message of a peaceful and equitable society to friends, family, and the WASS community. They understand that peace doesn’t have to be built from great things; it can start with small things like listening, empathizing, and boldly standing up for the weak. As Do Ngoc Quynh Nhu from Class IWA-7B shared: “When witnessing friends or ourselves being bullied or talked about negatively, we should speak up, inform adults, and don’t hesitate to offer a listening ear to those who are victims of bullying or bad-mouthing, so they can feel seen and valued.”

After participating in WASS Peace Day activities, Tran Khai Vinh, a student from Class IWA-7A, shared his thoughts: “Let’s come together to build a peaceful world, starting with simple actions like stopping bullying, talking bad behind others, and racism. Even though we may differ in skin color, what truly matters is that each of us has a beautiful soul, and together we can make society a better place.”

For younger students like Truong Tran Hong An, a student from Class PWA-4F, peace at school means treating each other kindly and respectfully, without conflict. She shared, “I feel very happy to learn in an environment where friends care for each other and no one is bullied or talked about behind their back. To contribute to this, I will always respect and listen to others, ask teachers for help when there are arguments I can’t resolve, and inform adults if I see my friends in trouble.”

In addition, Nguyen Minh Quynh Anh, a student from class PWA-12A, also said: “Along with bigger actions, my friends and I also use our social media to spread the message of peace, practice environmentally friendly lifestyles, from recycling to saving energy, and participate in volunteer activities to help the disadvantaged, orphans, and the disabled, especially the people affected by the recent typhoon Yagi. I believe that every action, no matter how small, can have a big impact on society and change the world.

On this occasion, I would also like to send a message to everyone to join hands in spreading the message of peace and love, respecting each other to create a brighter future and make life more colorful and beautiful.”

A prosperous and safe future is not something distant; it is the “seeds” of love that each WASSer has been “sowing” every day. From small but meaningful actions, they continue to share the vision for a peaceful and beautiful world.

As Albert Einstein once said, “Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved through understanding”. The School believes that with a spirit of love and kindness, WASSers will together build a cohesive WASS community and a peaceful society where everyone can live in freedom and happiness.
