Lessons in love and care and opportunities to explore future pathways made October a month rich in experiences for WASSers.
October 2026 at WASS offered students a range of experiences to explore future pathways, share love, and nurture their own voices. Each experience brought a lesson that helped them better understand themselves and take a more active role in their journey of growth.
Shaping the future by preparing today
At University Fair 2026, themed “Global Pathways: Elevate Your Future”, held on October 17, 2026, WASSers in Years 10 – 12 spoke directly with representatives from more than 40 universities. Exploring fields of study, academic programmes, and admission requirements gave students a stronger basis for choosing pathways aligned with their interests, abilities, and personal goals.

Stories shared by alumni about studying abroad also helped students gain a clearer picture of international university environments. The “Scholarship and Smart Study Investment” workshop offered further insights into scholarships and financial preparation, helping students and parents consider the resources needed and gradually develop a suitable study plan.

Sharing love through simple gestures

To celebrate Vietnamese Women’s Day on October 20, WASSers prepared handmade gifts and heartfelt wishes for the women they love. Through age-appropriate lessons and activities, students had opportunities to express care and gratitude through meaningful actions.

Each card, flower, and creative piece carried a personal touch, conveying students’ affection for those who are always there to support them.

Nurturing individual voices through Literature in the age of AI
Held on October 27, 2026, the talk show “Studying Literature in the Age of AI”, organised by WASS in collaboration with Tien Phong – Hoa Hoc Tro, opened up a discussion about approaches to studying Literature in the digital age.

Through the valuable insights shared by writer Dinh Hang and lecturer Nguyen Phuoc Bao Khoi, WASSers gained a deeper understanding of how life experiences, emotions, and individual perspectives contribute to authentic writing with a personal voice. Meanwhile, inspiring songs performed by singer Chi Xe helped students appreciate the presence of literature in melodies and lyrics.

The discussions also explored how AI can support brainstorming and research while emphasising learners’ active role in selecting information and deciding what they wish to convey. Students gained further guidance on using technology to support their learning while preserving their own ways of interpreting and expressing ideas.
From academic guidance to lessons in love and literary inspiration, the experiences of October 2026 helped nurture care for others, independent thinking, and a proactive approach to preparing for the future among WASSers.
