WASS consistently refreshes the learning environment by combining classroom lessons with diverse practical experiences. In December 2024, WASSers from Kindergarten to Year 12 embarked on meaningful Practical Learning Activities at various fascinating and meaningful destinations.
From December 10 to 19, 2024, Kindergarten WASSers enjoyed an exciting visit to the Saigon Central Post Office. The trip allowed them to admire its unique architecture and explore the historical value of this iconic landmark. Additionally, the children marveled at the timeless beauty of Notre Dame Cathedral and explored the vibrant stalls along the city’s Book Street.
WASSers from Years 1 – 12 at the 157 Ly Chinh Thang Campus also had a meaningful day of learning at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum and the Science and Technology Library on December 12, 2024.
At the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, the students listened to stories about the city’s history, key milestones, and the unique cultural values that have shaped the distinct identity of Saigon over the past 300 years.
The visit to the Science and Technology Library brought WASSers to an inspiring space for reading. With a blend of traditional reading areas and modern, technology-equipped facilities, the library provided engaging learning experiences that sparked curiosity and enhanced their enthusiasm for learning.
Building on the enriching Practical Learning Activities, Year 9 students at the 157 Ly Chinh Thang Campus had the opportunity to experience a modern learning environment at RMIT University. The trip provided in-depth insights into the Digital Media industry through specialized presentations and the Digital Media and Technology exhibition. This experience helped the students explore potential career paths and better understand their interests and passions.
Each journey serves as a valuable piece of the learning puzzle, helping WASSers explore the world around them, broaden their knowledge, and appreciate the rich values of culture and history.
