To actively prepare for the new academic year 2023 – 2024, the entire teaching staff at the Western Australian International School System (WASS) participated in the Professional Development Training Week.
At the start of the week, WASS teachers took part in an online training session with the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) of Western Australia. Senior academic advisors and education managers from SCSA provided the latest information on the learning roadmap, modern teaching methods, and the way to implement and assess student learning outcomes, ensuring the consistent quality set out among schools teaching the Western Australian curriculum worldwide.
As an accredited and recognized Australian international school in Vietnam, WASS regularly organizes the Professional Development Training Week as a key activity during the academic year to ensure that its academic programs are implemented according to the roadmap and requirements of Western Australia.
The School Curriculum and Standards Authority of Western Australia also annually directly inspects and evaluates the program and the quality of the teaching staff at WASS. The SCSA inspection team is scheduled to conduct an accreditation at the Western Australian International School System in December this year.
Training with leading education experts from SCSA provides WASS teachers with the opportunity to enhance their skills, update their teaching methods, and inherit the best practices and strategic directions from the Australian education system, reaffirming the school’s position as an Australian international school in Vietnam.
After completing the first training week with enthusiasm, confidence, and readiness to learn, WASS teachers will continue to participate in subsequent activities to provide the best learning experiences for students in the new academic year.
