From simple wishes to heartwarming moments in the classroom, WASSers came together to create a meaningful International Women’s Day at WASS.
Without the need for grand gestures, March 8, 2026, at WASS unfolded in its own special way, where small acts of care and sincere words became how students expressed their genuine feelings.

Across all year levels, students shared different ways of expressing themselves, yet were united by a common thread: gratitude and appreciation for the important women in their lives.

In Kindergarten, the first “seeds of love” were nurtured through innocence and joy. Students confidently expressed themselves through colorful outfits, transformed into lovely “flowers,” and thoughtfully prepared small gifts for their grandmothers, mothers, and teachers. Through stories and hands-on activities, they began to understand that love can start from simple gestures, a thank you, a warm hug, or everyday acts of care.

While younger WASSers expressed their feelings with pure innocence, Primary, Secondary, and High School students conveyed their emotions in more thoughtful and meaningful ways. This was an opportunity for them to reflect, gain a deeper appreciation for the values women bring, and express thoughts that are sometimes left unsaid. In the soft and inspiring atmosphere of the event “Gratitude Blooms”, students created personalized gifts, shared meaningful stories, and sent heartfelt wishes to “the gentle half of the world”.

Beyond the activities, what remains is a deeper understanding: gratitude does not lie in grand gestures, but in the way we care for and appreciate one another every day.

From these small “seeds”, WASS believes that love will continue to grow alongside each student’s journey, helping them not only develop academically but also mature in how they care, connect, and contribute to building a more compassionate and equitable world.
