The vibrant experiences and joyful learning moments of WASSers in April 2025 have added even more brilliant colors to the academic year 2024 – 2025.
1. Special Class Sessions of Our Little WASSers
From the very first days of April 2025, our Kindergarten students had the chance to learn about the work of Embryologists, Lawyers, Navy Soldiers, Dental Doctors, and Beauty and Spa Specialists through inspiring stories shared by their parents.
Each job was shared with great passion by the parents, helping the little ones not only learn about the role of each profession but also understand that every job deserves respect, regardless of gender. Thanks to the parents’ support during these special class sessions, the journey of exploring careers through the theme “Jobs & Helpers in My Community” became even more real and meaningful to the hearts of our little WASSers.
2. Little WASSers Shone Bright at Sports Day “Little Champions Challenge”
Taking place from April 9 to 11, 2025, Sports Day 2025 brought a playground full of laughter and team spirit for our Kindergarten students. With endless energy and sportsmanship, our little “champions” gave their all in activities like obstacle races, tug of war, parachute games, balance bike races, and more.
Each activity provided the children a chance to build their physical strength, practice their coordination, sharpen their agility, and grow their teamwork spirit.
3. Unforgettable Practical Learning Activities
On April 18, 2025, our Kindergarten students went on an exciting Practical Learning Activity to the Vietopia Edutainment Career-Oriented Theme Park! At Vietopia, our little WASSers got a taste of the grown-up world by trying out different careers like firefighters, journalists, astronauts, magicians, bakers, archaeologists, and more. Through fun role-playing activities, the children not only enjoyed themselves but also learned how to work in teams, developed logical thinking, and appreciated the special value that every job brings to the community.
On April 22, 2025, WASSers from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) embarked on an inspiring field trip to the Can Gio Mangrove Forest. Through hands-on field research and ecosystem analysis activities, the trip helped strengthen their academic foundation and provided valuable insights to support their Collaborative Science Project (CSP) – an interdisciplinary project combining Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS).
4. Spirit Days Spread Positive Values from the WASS Community
4.1. Pink Day – Spreading the Spirit of Sharing and Saying “No” to Bullying
Pink Day 2025, with the theme “Be a Buddy, Not a Bully”, held on April 14, 2025, at WASS Kindergarten, helped our little WASSers understand and spread the spirit of sharing. The children participated in the “Together We Rise” activity, where they watched scenario videos to identify appropriate actions and behaviors to avoid, while discussing effective ways to respond and raise awareness about preventing school bullying.
4.2. Earth Day – For a Greener Planet
On April 22, 2025, students from Kindergarten to Year 12 came together to participate in meaningful activities aimed at preserving the Earth’s green beauty. The students learned how to sort waste, plant trees, save energy, and create products from recycled materials. Each activity provided an opportunity for our WASSers to build a strong foundation to become global citizens who appreciate, preserve, and spread the value of sustainability for the future.
5. Songkran Water Festival – Filled with Joy and Laughter
The Songkran Water Festival, held on April 25, 2025, cooled off the scorching heat and brought a day full of laughter for our little WASSers. In addition to the fun water activities, the students also had the opportunity to learn about the traditional Thai culture.
Each meaningful and energetic moment from the journey has certainly become a beautiful memory, inspiring WASS members to finish the academic year with brilliance.
