The Halloween 2024 at WASS brought exciting and meaningful experiences to WASSers during this famous festival at the end of October.
Halloween is often remembered for its vibrant pumpkin lanterns, creative costumes, and the fun “Trick or Treat” activity. In addition, this popular holiday also carries a wealth of meaningful messages about humanity.
In Western countries, Halloween marks the end of the harvest season – a time to show gratitude to those who contributed to a bountiful harvest and abundant food supply to prepare for the colder months ahead.
The “WASS Story in the Pumpkin World” Halloween Festival, held at WASS from October 24 to 31, 2024, reminded WASSers of the importance of food and inspired them to appreciate their daily meals, while also helping them understand more about cultural and historical traditions from around the world.
Throughout the Festival, WASSers participated in Non-Uniform Week, transforming into adorable and stylish characters, joining the parade and taking part in the traditional “Trick or Treat” activity that defines Halloween.
WASSers especially learned about sustainable agriculture through fun quizzes and engaging games. This experience helped them gain more awareness and understanding, inspiring them to appreciate, contribute to, and responsibly care for the surrounding environment.
Let’s say goodbye to an awesome October and get ready to welcome an exciting November filled with promising experiences!
