To ensure all students are ready for success after high school, WASS offers a U.S. standards-based curriculum licensed by the Greenville Area School District, which incorporates the acquisition of concepts and the development of skills leading to US High School Diploma from the State of Pennsylvania.

The American curriculum is standards-based and designed to help students acquire and achieve high levels of English and mathematics. The lessons are presented within a student-paced system that teaches the lessons, reinforces concepts, time-stamps activities, tracks progress both online and offline projects and focuses largely on developing higher-order thinking and writing skills.

ABOUT PROGRAM

The program includes the core academic subjects and specialist subjects offered in a conceptual-based curriculum model; therefore, students explore concepts and essential understandings, ask compelling questions, and make connections.

The core academic subjects of the English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies have been adopted from the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), American Education Reaches Out (AERO) Social Studies Standards, and Pennsylvania State Standards.

All the curriculum units include performance assessments and opportunities for students to co-create their learning experiences through applied collaboration to solve problems or delve more deeply into topics of personal fascination.
