Summer is a time for students to relax, unwind, and explore the world around them. However, in the age of digital technology, many parents worry that their children will have a boring summer, spending their days indoors with TV and phones.
Understanding these concerns, Western Australian International School System (WASS) has continued to develop and offer diverse summer programs, which include domestic and international summer camps designed with a variety of exciting activities to suit a diverse range of student goals and interests.
At these special summer camps, students will have the opportunity to explore the vast world with its endless wonders, learn in an international setting, have fun, ignite their passion for learning, awaken their potential, improve their language skills, and connect with new friends.

1. “A Ticket Around the World” Summer Camp for students aged 2 – 6
“A Ticket Around the World” Summer Camp will take young explorers to new lands to explore different languages, discover unique cultures, experience traditional flavors, and conquer the wonders of knowledge.
The camp is an opportunity for children to enjoy the best of the Western Australian K-10 International Program (WA International) for early childhood education, taught by native English-speaking teachers and Vietnamese teachers, with a variety of topics that are appropriate for each age group.

- Summer Camps: Roald Amundsen (2 – 3 years old), Christopher Columbus (3 – 4 years old), Marco Polo (4 – 5 years old), and James Cook (5 – 6 years old)
2. Summer Camp 2024
The Summer Camp 2024 with “First Graders’ Adventure – Columbus” (for children from 5 to 6 years old) and “A Jubilant Exploration” (for children from 6 to 13 years old) promises to be a unique and enriching journey with a variety of activities from learning to playing and having fun.
2.1. First Graders’ Adventure – Columbus
For students from 5 to 6 years old, the “First Graders’ Adventure” Summer Camp, named after “Columbus” – the first person to discover America – will provide a special opportunity for students to explore six different continents of the world through hands-on lessons and exciting experiential activities.
Six weeks around six continents around the world with core subjects such as Math and Vietnamese help students prepare for the first grade of elementary school, while also having fun in the summer with six other interesting subjects to help students discover their hidden talents and develop their strengths with interactive activities and multi-topic experiences.
At the same time, by the end of the summer camp, students will have confidence and can easily integrate into the elementary school environment, especially in the international school environment. The students’ Pre-elementary skills will also be significantly improved through lessons with experienced foreign and Vietnamese teachers.
2.2. A Jubilant Exploration
For students ages 6 to 13, “A Jubilant Exploration” offers a unique “6 in 1” summer program featuring adventures to 6 continents around the world. Every summer day at school will bring students joy and useful knowledge about the world around them. Students will learn subjects such as Cultural Odyssey, Leadership Activities, Tech Adventure, World of Performance Art, Dynamic Sports, Essential Skills, and Culinary Arts.
The summer camp will be divided into separate classes with the following age groups:
- Marco Polo: 6 – 7 years old
- Edmund Hillary: 7 – 8 years old
- Yurri Gagarin: 8 – 9 years old
- William Beebe: 9 – 10 years old
- Leif Erikson: 10 – 11 years old
- Roald Amundsen: 11 – 13 years old

3. American Summer Camp 2024
The American Summer Camp 2024 is a unique “2-in-1” program that combines experiential tourism and study abroad in the United States, bringing WASSers a colorful and vibrant summer. Within 3 weeks, students will have the opportunity to explore 3 states – 6 cities, from small, beautiful towns to bustling cities.
The itinerary for the trip is designed to provide students with a rich experience, from living in the community with native Americans and attending classes with experienced American teachers to visiting famous landmarks and universities such as the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, and Gannon University.
In addition, students will be housed in a dormitory with close supervision and provided with nutritious meals, ensuring physical and mental safety throughout their stay at the summer camp.

4. UMC Canada Summer Camp 2024
The next destination awaiting the students is Canada, with a visit to three romantic cities, including Ottawa, Toronto, and Montréal. Lasting for 3 weeks, the trip will also be an adventure for students to explore the lives of native people, immerse themselves in a multicultural environment, and enhance their English proficiency and other soft skills.
The trip will be more meaningful when students have the opportunity to learn about Canada’s leading universities, for example, the University of Toronto. This is an important step to help students have more time to prepare for their future long-term study abroad journey.

5. Culinary Summer Camp 2024
The “Culinary Summer Camp 2024” is a summer program organized by WASS in collaboration with the American College of Vietnam (AmCollege). The program aims to provide students with the opportunity to explore the world of culinary arts and their hidden talents.
With the theme “Taste of the World,” the Culinary Summer Camp 2024 (for students aged 13 – 18) will offer WASSers a summer full of exciting experiences in Cooking, Bartending, and Foreign Languages.
The Culinary Summer Camp 2024 promises to provide students with the opportunity to access knowledge, develop important skills, and connect with friends who share similar passions.
