From the early days of December 2024, the festive spirit of Christmas filled all 5 WASS campuses. Vibrant Christmas trees, sparkling stars, twinkling lights, and familiar symbols such as Santa Claus, reindeer, and snowmen created a warm and joyful holiday atmosphere. Let’s look at some of the highlights of WASS’ 2024 Christmas Festival!
1. A Festive Series of Christmas Activities
From December 2 – 20, 2024, WASSers in Primary, Secondary, and High School enthusiastically participated in a variety of meaningful and creative activities such as Paper Roll Christmas Door Decoration, Australian Christmas Comic Strip, Dear Santa, Warmth for All: WASS Santa’s Charity Drive and Santa Claus Comes to the Classroom. Through these engaging activities, WASSers explored the joy of Christmas by decorating classrooms and together spreading the cheerful festival spirit.
For Kindergarten, from December 16 – 19, 2024, the little WASSers worked together to create decorative items to contribute to the fundraising booth at the Christmas Fair, collaborated with their Parents to make a special Christmas tree at home, and wrote letters to Santa Claus through activities such as Holiday Card-Making & Gift Exchange, The Giving Tree, and The Tree of Cherished Moments.
In particular, the WASS community came together to donate school supplies, toys, and clothing to support children in need. On December 21, representatives from the Student Council and House Council of the Primary, Secondary, and High School, along with teachers, visited the SOS Children’s Village to present these meaningful gifts.
The items donated by the little WASSers in Kindergarten were also delivered by school representatives to the children at the Tam Binh Child Care and Protection Center on December 28. Each gift carried heartfelt wishes and the warm spirit of sharing from the WASS community to those less fortunate.
2. Meaningful Christmas Fair of the WASS Community
On December 23 and 24, 2024, the WASS Kindergarten community immersed themselves in the festive atmosphere of the Christmas Fair. The little WASSers enthusiastically participated in a series of exciting games, enjoyed family workshops creating handmade crafts, and explored shops offering Christmas decorations, handmade gifts, coloring books, and paintings at the Fair stalls.
Additionally, WASSers in Primary, Secondary, and High School also embraced the festive spirit through the inspiring activities of the Christmas Fair. Here, WASSers experienced unique stalls, engaged in games and dynamic activities, and enjoyed captivating films.
Continuing WASS’ traditions of sharing love, all proceeds from the activities at the Christmas Fair, 176,210,000 VND in total, will be contributed to the Community Fund “Empower the Next Generation” to support ongoing community projects under the main project “Yen Bai, For a Brighter Tomorrow” (Phase 2).
The Christmas celebrations at WASS each year bring a unique atmosphere, filled with joy, warmth, and love, continuously creating meaningful values for the community. The heartfelt Christmas gifts were personally given by Santa Claus to the WASSers as a recognition of their hard work and dedication. We hope the WASS community will continue to uphold the spirit of sharing and unity and foster an inspiring and meaningful learning environment.
