February 2025 wrapped up with unforgettable moments for the WASS community. From the joyful Lunar New Year celebrations and exciting talent performances to outstanding achievements in Robotics competitions and meaningful sharing activities, it was a month filled with vibrant experiences and cherished memories at WASS.

1. Kicked Off the New Year with Vibrant Spring Opening Activities

The WASS community kicked off the new semester with an exciting and energetic Lunar New Year celebration.

Our little Kindergarten students sent heartfelt wishes to their teachers, along with a class photo and a lovely gift. Meanwhile, Primary, Secondary, and High School WASSers received sweet KitKat treats and warm wishes from the School. Though small, these gifts carried words of encouragement from teachers, inspiring WASSers to stay motivated and achieve great success in the new semester.

2. Shone with Artistic Confidence in the Semi-Final Round of “WASS’s Got Talent”

One of the most anticipated events in February was the Semi-Final Round of “WASS’s Got Talent”. After intense competition, the 15 most outstanding performances officially secured their spots in the Grand Finale, receiving enthusiastic cheers and support from the WASS community.

On the dazzling stage, Primary and Secondary WASSers showcased their confidence and talent through a variety of performances, from singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments to other creative acts. More than just displaying their artistic abilities, they also demonstrated confidence, determination, and passion. Stay tuned for the thrilling moments at the “WASS’s Got Talent” Final Round, set to take place in March 2025!

3. Harvested Sweet Achievements from Robotics Competitions

February 2025 marked significant milestones for WASS Robotics teams as they competed in the National Final Round of the Robotacon FIRST LEGO League 2025 and the VEX Robotics Vietnam National Championship 2025.

Held on February 15 and 16, the Robotacon FIRST LEGO League 2025 competition provided a platform for WASSers to showcase their talents, achieving remarkable results:

• STEAM WASS Team 01 – Team Model Award.
• STEAM WASS Team 02 – Programming Award.
• WASS LEGEND Team – Innovation Project Award.

In the Final Round of the VEX Robotics Vietnam National Championship 2025, held on February 22 – 23 in Hanoi, WASS teams demonstrated sharp programming skills and achieved impressive results:

• UNITED BOT Team: Achieved 5th Place Award in the Secondary School Alliance Battle.
• B52 Team: Ranked Top 6 in the Secondary School Division Alliance Battle.
• WASS LEGEND Team: Ranked Top 7 in the Secondary School Division Alliance Battle.

These achievements are the “sweet fruits” of countless hours of hard work, continuous learning, and dedication to improving programming and robot design skills at WASS. They are not only a source of pride but also a great motivation for WASSers to keep reaching new heights in Robotics and technology competitions. 

4. Filled Hearts with Love Through the “Piggy Bank Fundraising” Campaign

At the beginning of the academic year 2024 – 2025, adorable piggy banks were given to WASSers as part of the “Piggy Bank Fundraising” campaign. After a semester of dedicated saving, on February 17 and 19, 2025, WASSers joyfully broke their piggy banks, collecting a total of 230,366,800 VND.

The entire amount collected from the “Piggy Bank Fundraising” campaign has been contributed to the Community Fund “Empower the Next Generation”. This allows the WASS family to continue spreading kindness and supporting the future of H’Mong students in Yen Bai province through projects under the main project “Yen Bai, For a Brighter Tomorrow” (Phase 2).

February has come to a close with many unforgettable memories, remarkable achievements, and moments of pure joy. The journey of learning and self-growth for WASSers continues, with exciting new challenges ahead. Let’s look forward to March 2025, filled with exciting events, valuable lessons, and even more opportunities for WASSers to shine.
