October brought WASSers unforgettable moments through the Mid-Autumn Festival and Halloween celebrations, where students showcased their creativity, talent, and strong sense of community spirit.
The WASS community experienced a joyful and memorable October, immersing themselves in a series of cultural and artistic activities that reflected the spirit of unity, creativity, and love. WASSers not only discovered and celebrated the traditional beauty of the Mid-Autumn Festival but also explored Western culture through the Halloween Festival, together creating a colorful and meaningful festive season.
1. “Full Moon, United Hearts” – Bonding with Love under the Full Moon
This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival brought a vibrant and joyful atmosphere, where WASSers took part in traditional activities such as crafting lanterns, decorating fruit trays, enjoying the lion dance, and joining in folk games during the “Full Moon Journey” festival. These experiences not only brought students joy but also deepened their appreciation for the rich cultural traditions of Vietnam.

This full-moon season also marked a special milestone – the 15th year the WASS community has celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival together. Throughout this journey, WASS takes great pride in accompanying our beloved parents and students in nurturing knowledge, spreading humanistic values, and shaping a brighter future.

Amid the festive Mid-Autumn atmosphere, the Snowy Mooncake Workshop became a delightful highlight, warmly welcomed by parents and students alike. During the session, WASSers skillfully kneaded and shaped adorable mooncakes, infusing each creation with the sweet essence of reunion. Each finished cake was not only the result of patience and creativity but also a heartfelt symbol of love, joy, and togetherness between parents and children.

For parents, it was a precious opportunity to relive their childhood memories while sharing simple yet meaningful moments with their children. For students, it was a hands-on lesson in creativity, mindfulness, and appreciation for traditional values.

WASS sincerely thanks all Parents for spending their valuable time to join us in creating a warm, memorable, and love-filled Mid-Autumn season, where happiness, togetherness, and cherished memories were lovingly created in the hearts of every member of the WASS family.
2. Halloween 2025 – A Journey of Cultural Discovery, Gratitude, and Green Awareness
Following the cheerful Mid-Autumn celebration, the excitement continued with the Halloween Festival, a day filled with both fun and meaningful activities.
This year’s Halloween, themed “HallowGreen – Harvest Joy, Embrace Nature”, offered WASSers the opportunity to transform into their favorite characters, participate in costume parades, enjoy “Trick or Treat”, and take part in a series of games inspired by the themes of harvest and environmental protection. Through these learning and experiential activities, students not only explored the origins and cultural meanings of this Western celebration but also developed a deeper understanding of appreciating labor, protecting the environment, and adopting a sustainable lifestyle.
Halloween at WASS carries profound educational values. Students watched educational videos on environmental conservation, joined interactive quizzes, received treats in class, and engaged in creative game stations centered around the message of sustainability and gratitude for nature’s gifts. Each completed challenge earned them a small prize – a joyful reminder of effort, teamwork, and environmental awareness.
Beyond a day of costumes and fun, Halloween at WASS is a journey that cultivates creativity, empathy, and global citizenship. Every moment becomes a meaningful lesson that nurtures students’ awareness of sustainability and their responsibility as young global citizens – dynamic, knowledgeable, and compassionate members of the world community.
3. Spreading Joy – Strengthening Bonds – Enriching the Learning Journey
As October comes to a close, the echoes of these vibrant celebrations continue to resonate in the hearts of every WASSer. From the shimmering lanterns and the sweet aroma of mooncakes to the energetic Halloween atmosphere, these experiences have created a memorable and fulfilling journey – one that embodies joy, friendship, and love across the WASS community.

At WASS, every celebration is more than a festival; it is a meaningful learning experience that nurtures cultural understanding, essential skills, and human values. These are the treasured foundations that will empower WASSers to step confidently into the world, continuing their lifelong journey of knowledge, kindness, and growth.
