The learning journey of WASSers at WASS is nurtured far beyond the classroom and expanded through dynamic experiential activities. Each year level embarks on a unique path of knowledge exploration, tailored to students’ age and individual development goals. In October 2025, our students participated in exciting practical learning activities where they had the opportunity to observe, inquire, and connect their knowledge with the real world.

1. Little WASSers Turned Supermarkets into “Colorful Classrooms”

Aligned with the academic year 2025 – 2026 theme “Ignite Identity – Grow with Confidence”, the Practical Learning Activities at MM Mega Market and Emart offered our little WASSers engaging and meaningful lessons through real-world experiences.

Amid the vibrant aisles of the supermarket, the little WASSers were excited to explore in a whole new way alongside their teachers and friends. Some joyfully recognized the healthy food groups they had learned about in class, while others curiously asked questions about unfamiliar dishes or confidently responded to their teachers’ prompts. Through these experiences, they not only learned to observe and remember but also to discover their personal interests, express their thoughts confidently, and build self-awareness through real-world experiences.

2. Year 9 WASSers Explored the Creative Language of the Digital Era at the Beyond 1 & 0 Exhibition

For Year 9 WASSers, the visit to the Beyond 1 & 0 Exhibition – an event celebrating the 10th anniversary of RMIT University’s Digital Media program – opened the door to a distinctive world of creativity where art and technology come together as one.

Here, technology was not merely a tool but a “magical brush” that brought every artwork to life, offering unique interactive experiences. They had the chance to observe creations that blended code, algorithms, and imagination. Through this, they realized that creativity in the age of AI is no longer confined by traditional boundaries.

After this trip, the WASSers brought back not only a wealth of valuable knowledge but also a “treasure chest” of new ideas to apply to their upcoming learning projects.

Each Practical Learning Activity contributes to the WASSers’ growth in their own unique way. That is why WASS will continue to accompany generations of students on their journey of expanding knowledge, nurturing curiosity, and inspiring them to confidently “level up” to become the best versions of themselves.
