After a rigorous and challenging selection process, the WASS Student Council 2025 has officially been formed, bringing together outstanding individuals who represent the voices of all WASSers. As the bridge between WASSers and the School, the Student Council is dedicated to fostering strong connections and contributing to a vibrant, connected, and inspiring school community.
WASS Student Council Gen 3 includes the Leadership Team – comprising the President, Vice President, and Public Relations Officer – alongside the Counselor, the Event Organizing Team, the Design Team, the Content Creation Team, and the Media Team. Each member carries a strong sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, and a passion for making a difference, promising to bring positive transformations to the WASS community.
After nearly 2 years as a member of the Student Council, Nguyen Hoang Thien Thanh discovered a deep passion for communications and embraced the challenge of becoming a Public Relations Officer. She shared, “Having stepped into this role under unforeseen circumstances and joined in various public speaking events and contests at school, I have developed a profound passion for being a professional public speaker. This year, I wanted to embrace this new opportunity to take the initiative and challenge myself in a new field, which further boosts my skills and confidence while fulfilling my passion and contributing even more to the WASS community.”
Thien Thanh aims to bridge the gap between students and the School, spreading the WASS spirit through meaningful campaigns and events, ensuring that every student feels heard and connected. Additionally, she hopes that all WASSers will join hands in building WASS into a dynamic learning environment where everyone is valued and can “flourish”.
As the newly elected Vice President, Vo Hoang Gia Bao has had a memorable election journey. He shared, “The election process has taught me the importance of empathy and the effectiveness of communication, as well as trained my resilience. One of the biggest challenges that I have faced was trying to connect with a diverse group of students while ensuring that my vision and goals align with everyone. With the support of my family, teachers, and friends, I was able to overcome all difficulties and stay focused on my main goal.”
In his new role, Gia Bao aims to promote academic excellence through engaging activities such as peer tutoring and study groups, helping all WASSers maximize their potential. He also expressed, “I felt grateful for the trust and support from the WASS community, and I hoped everyone would join me on this journey. Let’s work together to make WASS a place we are all proud to be a part of.”
Additionally, Vo Thanh Minh, the newly elected Student Council President, shared his heartfelt thoughts, “Our common goal is to build a community based on respect, creativity, innovation, and growth. We will strive to listen to and acknowledge all students’ opinions while continuing to move forward as the bridge between WASSers and the School. Therefore, I hope to receive the support of all WASSers because you are our greatest motivation. Lastly, I sincerely thank the WASS community for your encouragement, support, and contributions, which have shaped the Student Council into what it is today!”
With determination, responsibility, and a pioneering spirit, WASS Student Council Gen 3 is ready to embark on a meaningful new journey. These individuals are not only talented leaders but also dedicated changemakers, eager to listen, take action, and inspire positive change within the WASS family.
Let’s welcome and support the WASS Student Council 2025 as we work together to create a dynamic, well-connected, and uplifting learning environment!
