The Practical Learning Activities and Academic Exhibitions held in November 2024 have significantly created an inspiring and joyful learning journey for little WASSers.

1. The Journey of Exploring Knowledge Through Practical Learning Activities

On November 14 and 15, 2024, the Kangaroo and Preschool students (260 Dien Bien Phu Campus) had a Practical Learning Activity at Martin Bike Shop to explore the world of bicycles and discover many new things. Here, the staff introduced the students to the structure of bicycles, the function of each part, and how to choose a bike suitable for their physical condition. In addition, the children also discussed with their teachers the safety rules for cycling and the benefits of riding a bike, such as improving health, protecting the environment, and helping to develop healthy living habits.

On November 21, 2024, the Penguin students from both Kindergarten campuses had Practical Learning Activities at school, where they explored traditional cultural activities. Through engaging in traditional folk games such as coconut leaf folding, “To He” figurine crafting, dragon-snake chase, piggy bank painting, duck egg picking, and fishing, students had the opportunity to enhance their physical skills, interact with artisans, and learn about the beautiful cultural values of the nation.

2. Academic Exhibition “Journey of Growth – Together We Thrive” – A New Milestone in the Academic Year 2024 – 2025

From November 19 to 22, 2024, the Academic Exhibition “Journey of Growth – Together We Thrive”, was held in an atmosphere filled with excitement and cheerful laughter at both Kindergarten campuses.

During the event, parents had the opportunity to admire the creative academic projects of the little WASSers, reflect on the impressive learning journey during the first 3 months of the academic year, and even participate in a live class session with their child. Through a variety of engaging classroom activities, parents gained deeper insights into the little WASSers’ learning process, developed a fresh perspective on the children’s eagerness to learn, and were able to assess their children’s growth during the early months of the school year.

Additionally, the event provided an opportunity for the School to strengthen its connection with the parent community, working together to build a strong educational environment that supports students’ holistic development and nurtures them into confident, positive, and curious learners.

3. Little WASSers Explored Nature on a Field Trip to World Farm

The little WASSers from the Wombat, Koala, Kangaroo, and Preschool classes participated in a Practical Learning Field Trip to World Farm on November 27, 2024.

The students explored their “wall-less classroom” amidst lush greenery through various exciting hands-on activities, including learning how to plant succulents, discovering how to care for farm animals, and creating traditional woodblock prints.

These enriching activities not only helped the WASSers develop creative thinking and life skills but also educated them about Sustainability, which is a key focus of the Western Australia curriculum. This value aims to nurture individuals with a broad vision and encourages children to actively engage in caring for the natural world, as well as fostering their awareness of the world and better things in life.

The dynamic academic activities in November 2024 provided exciting and valuable experiences for the little WASSers. The School is confident that these diverse activities will nurture creativity, confidence, and a spirit of exploration in the students while further strengthening the connection between the School and parents in the journey of the children’s development.
