The series of career orientation events, exciting competitions, and meaningful activities celebrating Vietnamese Women’s Day at the Western Australian International School System (WASS) have made October 2024 a month full of excitement and unity.
1. Career Orientation Series: Guiding WASSers on Their Global Journey
The Western Australian International School System (WASS) has successfully organized career counseling sessions for Year 12 students regarding studying abroad in collaboration with ISA.
Accordingly, WASSers participated in a special counseling session on October 4, 2024, to discuss their plans after graduation and the universities they are interested in. They also received valuable tips on securing scholarships at prestigious top universities around the world.
Continuing the career orientation sessions, students had the opportunity to meet representatives from prestigious universities, such as Arizona State University — the largest public university in the U.S., on October 11, 2024, and Simon Fraser University — one of the top three comprehensive universities in Canada, on October 14, 2024. During these sessions, WASSers gained essential information about studying abroad and had their questions on career choices answered, helping them “map out” the right career path.
2. WASS Kick-off Competitions to Nurture Passions
In October 2024, WASS kicked off the “WASS’s Got Talent” competition — an exciting playground for WASSers of all year levels. The competition rounds will officially take place from November 2024 to January 2025. This will be a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their talents in various fields such as singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments.
For students passionate about business or wanting to try a new role, the Entrepreneur Competition 2024 with the theme “Sustainable Startups” is an ideal playground for WASSers to fully unleash their innovative ideas. The competition will take place from October to December 2024, opening up a comprehensive journey to experience the actual business process, from idea generation, presentation, product design, advertising, and sales, to financial management and customer interaction. In particular, the students will learn how to build sustainable business models, such as using green materials and developing environmentally friendly business strategies, thereby contributing to addressing global environmental and social challenges.
3. WASSers Dedicate Lovely Gifts to the Wonderful Women
The presence of wonderful mothers, dedicated teachers, beloved grandmothers, and gentle sisters is always intertwined with WASSers on their journey of growth.
With their heartfelt affection, the students skillfully crafted adorable gifts to celebrate Vietnamese Women’s Day on October 20. From cute little cards to charming handmade gifts and sweet messages, the children carefully made each token to honor the extraordinary women in their lives. Each small yet meaningful gesture will help them gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of family love.
October 2024 has concluded with many memorable milestones at WASS. Each event and activity not only helps WASSers develop skills and pursue their passions but also enhances teamwork and spreads love. Let’s look forward to the exciting and promising activities in November 2024!
