The newly appointed leaders of the House Council have been officially revealed, promising to bring exciting and unique activities in the academic year 2024 – 2025. With their boundless energy and a strong sense of responsibility, they will do their best to build a united and supportive WASS community.
The unique House System at WASS provides an ideal environment for students to fully develop their talents, thereby fostering well-rounded growth in character, discipline, ethics, knowledge, essential skills, creativity, and communication.
House Captains and House Vice Captains play a crucial role as a bridge to connect, support, and encourage members to effectively participate in academic activities, competitions, sports events, and extracurricular programs, all while earning points for their House.
After a period of campaigning and voting, the core members of the House Council have officially been revealed, promising to bring a fresh breeze, providing positive energy into the WASS community as we welcome exciting experiences for this academic year. Along with the joy and pride, WASSers will also carry new responsibilities and challenges. Let’s listen to the thoughts, plans, and aspirations of the House Leaders as they take on these important roles.
“Nearly a month of being Athena’s House Captain may not be long, but it has been enough for me to recognize my strengths and weaknesses. I am very happy to have organized many activities for my friends at school. However, there were moments when Athena House did not achieve the results we had hoped for, which brought its own set of challenges. During those times, I felt the weight of pressure, but each challenge provided me with valuable lessons. I learned the importance of maintaining a positive mindset, encouraging my House members, and developing new strategies to help us all improve. This experience helped me realize that success doesn’t just come from individual efforts; rather, it is the result of trust, cooperation, and mutual support.
Looking back on this time, I am truly grateful to have been given the opportunity to become a House Captain. I’ve not only grown more confident and mature, but also learned many skills such as communication, management, and leadership. Through a variety of meaningful and beneficial activities, WASS has provided the best conditions for me to explore and develop myself. I believe that the memories and lessons from these valuable experiences will stay with me throughout my childhood and life beyond.
Athena House is like a second family, where I can freely express myself, learn, and connect with friends. No matter what the future holds, I will always be proud to be a member of Athena House and the WASS community.” – shared Nguyen Khuong Mai Khoi, Athena House Captain.
“Being elected as Apollo House Vice Captain makes me feel very happy and proud. Last year, Apollo House achieved second place, which made me determined to run for a position on the House Council with the hope of contributing a victory for Apollo House this academic year, and I am confident that all of our members will make this a reality.
I will actively participate and encourage my friends to join in the School’s activities and competitions so that we can earn as many points as possible for Apollo House. I will also strive harder in my studies and strictly follow the School’s rules to set a good example for everyone.
Come on, everyone! Let’s join the activities today for a victorious Apollo House!” – shared by Nguyen Tang Nhat Bao, Apollo House Vice Captain.
“After taking on the role of House Captain, I feel incredibly happy and honored because my efforts over the past few weeks of campaigning have been rewarded. I hope to have the opportunity to understand the desires of our House members better, resolve any misunderstandings, and create a comfortable and friendly atmosphere where everyone feels welcomed.
The first and simplest action I can take to lead and connect my House members is to strive for academic success and actively participate in activities to set a good example for others. Additionally, I will actively engage in open communication with members to support them and enhance our connections.
I am not just a Captain; I am a supporter, a companion, and also a friend to all members of Zeus. Let’s work together to create a friendly, strong, and successful House that brings us a year full of memorable experiences!” – Zeus House Captain Le Quach My Vy.
“When I was elected to take on the position of House Captain, I was quite surprised but also very proud to have achieved something I had been hoping for and to have my efforts finally recognized. I hope to create a welcoming, friendly environment where no member is left behind, and we all work together towards a common goal.
Everyone, let’s unite and give our all for a strong and outstanding Asclepius. Each of your contributions is very valuable. Let’s create beautiful memories and achieve great success together!” A message of determination from Co Gia Lac, House Captain of Asclepius.
Students at WASS are encouraged to develop their leadership skills through various competitions and activities throughout the academic year. Through these experiences, they can learn more proactively and continuously improve themselves, while also enhancing essential social skills.
The journey toward becoming talented leaders in the House Council will undoubtedly provide WASSers with great opportunities to accumulate valuable lessons, push beyond their limits, enhance their leadership abilities, and create many memorable moments in their school life.
WASS believes that with their dedication and youthful energy, students will become an important factor in helping the WASS community grow stronger, more dynamic, and united.
