This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival at WASS was more vibrant and exciting, filled with the glow of lanterns, the cheerful laughter of WASSers, and the meaningful spirit of sharing within the WASS community.

As one of the most beloved celebrations for students, the Mid-Autumn Festival provides a wonderful opportunity to come together, enjoy traditional activities, and contribute to preserving and promoting the nation’s cultural heritage.

With the theme “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Lanterns”, the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024 at WASS Kindergarten, held on September 16 and 17, brought exciting and memorable experiences to the little WASSers. The children joined together to make delicious mooncakes, participate in unique traditional games, enjoy adorable performances, showcase eye-catching Vietnamese costume fashion shows, and were captivated by the fascinating magic show.

In addition to these festivities, they enjoyed other traditional Mid-Autumn activities such as decorating fruit trays, watching lion dances, participating in lantern parades, and sharing festive treats.

While the little WASSers immersed themselves in the shimmering light of vibrant lanterns, the Primary, Middle, and High School WASSers enjoyed the Mid-Autumn Festival “Moonlight Magic: Embracing Reunion,” which took place from September 14 to 17, 2024.

Adding to the vibrant scene of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the WASSers dressed up in a variety of colorful traditional outfits such as “ao dai”, “ao ba ba”, and other impressive fashionable attire. They also participated in fashion shows, lantern parades, and fruit tray decoration contests.

The highlight of this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival was the Mooncake Making Workshop, where WASSers and their loved ones transformed into professional bakers. The delicious and beautifully made green bean-filled mooncakes were not only a demonstration of their skills but also a symbol of the love and connection shared by the WASS family.

The Mid-Autumn Festival 2024 of WASS became even more meaningful when the School donated part of the festival’s organization costs to the national relief fund, allowing WASSers to contribute to helping people affected by typhoon Yagi.

Through these meaningful experiential activities and practical actions, the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024 surely became a memorable occasion, not only for the students but for the entire WASS community. Together, we have kindled the flame of love and spread kindness to those in need.
