In August and September, WASSers had the opportunity to hone their skills by participating in a series of exciting experiential activities, from Practical Learning Field Trips and the “Industry Insider” Workshop to intense competitions to win leadership positions on the House Council for the academic year 2024 – 2025.
Memorable Practical Learning Field Trips Combined with Team-Building Challenges
On September 4, 2024, Middle and High School students had the opportunity to demonstrate their unity and teamwork through a series of group challenges in the Practical Learning Field Trip at Tan Cang Tourist Area. These activities not only required close coordination among class members but also encouraged them to develop their problem-solving skills. The exciting team-building games and engaging contests created a vibrant competitive atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Primary students enjoyed a fun-filled day of outdoor learning at Pro Farm, where they immersed themselves in nature and transformed into little farmers, participating in many interesting and beneficial agricultural activities.
After these laughter-filled trips, in addition to beautiful memories, the students brought back many valuable lessons about teamwork, strengthening their connections, and cooperation with friends.
“Industry Insider” Workshop: Where Parents join WASSers on their journey to future career orientation
To help students effectively orient themselves toward their careers, WASS organized the “Industry Insider” Workshop on September 25, 2024. Here, WASSers in Years 11 and 12 had the opportunity to meet and interact with speakers, who were also WASS Parents working in the fields of Finance and Interior Design – two professional areas that are popular among young people.
The real-life stories and valuable experiences shared by the speakers allowed students to better understand the nature of these professions and gain diverse perspectives on the fields they were interested in. Therefore, students can better assess their suitability for different professions and make informed decisions for their future.
The event also held special significance as it created an opportunity for Parents to accompany the students, sharing their extensive experience to support WASSers on their career choice journey. WASS believes that with the support of family and School, students will confidently continue on their chosen path.
On the journey of conquering knowledge and developing comprehensively at WASS, in addition to the knowledge accumulated from school or books, WASSers are also provided with practical experiences in various fields. From those opportunities, students can clearly define their career goals and build a strong personal development plan for the future.
House Council Election for the Academic Year 2024 – 2025
In the academic year 2024 – 2025, WASS House System continues to be implemented with many exciting activities.
The House System is not only a place for students to interact and connect but also a playground for them to showcase their leadership abilities. Each House will be led by a House Council – composed of outstanding House Captains and Vice Captains elected by the WASS community.
With the desire to find the most outstanding representatives to lead the Houses, the School organized a very exciting House Council election, which took place from September 4 to September 27, 2024.
Going through two challenging rounds, including the Presentation Round and the Campaign Voting Round, the candidates tried their best to demonstrate their leadership abilities. Finally, the most outstanding faces have emerged, ready to lead their Houses to victory. With their enthusiasm and talent, the House Council leaders will connect the members of their Houses and strive to “level up” their House points in pursuit of r the prestigious House Cup at the end of the academic year.
With a series of rich experiential activities right from the beginning of the academic year, WASS believes that students not only have the opportunity to awaken positive energy but also “strengthen their spirits”, and prepare to take on new challenges.
These solid initial steps will undoubtedly pave the way for a journey filled with outstanding and proud achievements in the academic year 2024 – 2025, leading students further on the path of learning, exploring their potential, and connecting with people around them.
