“Look Beyond” encourages students to move beyond the familiar and view the world from different perspectives. They are encouraged to ask questions, explore new possibilities, connect with the world around them, and discover untapped potential within themselves.
Every question, new perspective, and different experience can become an opportunity for students to broaden their thinking, better understand the world, and nurture a lifelong capacity for learning.
Move Forward
“Move Forward” represents the spirit of turning ideas into action through initiative, curiosity, adaptability, and perseverance. Students are encouraged to transform knowledge into real-world experiences, proactively face challenges, and see difficulties as opportunities to learn and grow.
In a constantly changing world, these qualities empower students to adapt with confidence, develop themselves, and become ready to create positive value for their communities.

For young children, the world is always vast and full of new discoveries. A leaf, a sound, a story, or a friend can spark curiosity and become the starting point for learning, connecting, and exploring.
With the theme “Little Steps, Big Wonders,” the 2026–2027 academic year at WASS Kindergarten opens a journey where every small step taken by our young WASSers is valued as a meaningful milestone in their growth.
Based on the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), WASS Kindergarten implements Growing, Exploring, and Becoming as three core focuses that guide children’s learning and development throughout the year. Together, these focuses foster an environment where children are encouraged to grow through experiences, explore the world with curiosity, and gradually develop their sense of self through what they experience, choose, and pursue.
Growing Through Experiences
Children grow every day through familiar experiences and seemingly small moments. It may be the first time they accomplish something independently, confidently try a new activity, or gradually develop their self-confidence and independence.
Each experience helps children better understand themselves, develop essential skills, and grow in their own unique ways.
Exploring the World Through Curiosity
Curiosity is a natural starting point for learning. Children are encouraged to observe, ask questions, experiment, and explore the world around them through age-appropriate experiences.
Starting with the familiar, children gradually broaden their understanding, develop their ability to connect, and discover new possibilities through their own sense of wonder and interest.
Becoming Who We Are
