May closes the academic year 2025 – 2026 at WASS with a series of vibrant and high-energy events. WASSers from all year levels have together created a memorable May and carried with them WASS’s dynamic spirit.

Let’s look back at the brilliant milestones and memorable moments of WASSers over the past month with WASS!

1. TEDxWASS Youth Event Day 2026: Spreading meaningful values from unique ideas

TEDxWASS Youth Event Day 2026, held on May 12, 2026, with the theme “Ideas Worth Spreading”, transformed the WASS stage into a place where students confidently asserted their own voices in the role of real speakers.

Through profound presentations about the journey of understanding oneself, the courage to step out of the comfort zone, and the spirit of perseverance in learning, WASSers touched the hearts of parents and teachers. The event was an opportunity for WASSers to demonstrate sharp thinking, bravery, and standing before a crowd, and to ignite strong inspiration for development in the future.

2. World Culture Fair: Traveling the world, stepping confidently globally

Taking place on May 14, 2026, the International Festival “World Culture Fair” offered a vivid journey of exploration into world cultures for WASSers. In colorful traditional costumes, WASSers transformed into citizens from all over the five continents to explore lively cultural activities. The festival not only aroused the students’ international ideology but also helped cultivate an open mind, listening skills, respect for differences, and the confidence to connect with international friends.

3. Sports event series: Exploding energy, connecting spirits

Besides the values of knowledge and culture, May was also the time when the sports spirit at WASS was pushed to a climax through a series of major festivals, bringing an exciting atmosphere to Parents and students:

• Family Sports Day 2026 of the Kindergarten, taking place on weekends, brought explosive moments for the “little athletes” and their parents. At each sports station, the whole family “burned” their best together to overcome challenges, spreading a healthy and positive living spirit, while strengthening the bond between family, the School, and students.

• The House Sports Tournament brought an exciting playground for WASSers from Primary to High School. WASSers brought dramatic, high-speed, and tactical-thinking competitions through a variety of sports. Besides the exciting matches, the biggest takeaway was the signature WASS “fair-play” spirit, radiant smiles, and enthusiastic high-fives of teamwork to save precious memories together at the end of the academic year.

As May closes, it is also the time when the academic year 2025 – 2026 takes place completely. The experiential journeys in the past academic year are filled with smiles, growth, and the spirit of solidarity. The lessons from books, along with the series of meaningful practical activities in this emotional academic year, will be a solid launching pad, adding motivation for WASSers to be ready to welcome the brilliant journeys ahead.
