The series of events held throughout April 2026 at WASS opened a journey of diverse and immersive experiences. From traditional Asian and European festivals to the mission of preserving our green Earth, each activity served as a vital piece of the puzzle, helping students cultivate a global mindset and nurture compassion for the world around them.

The spirit of learning at WASS shone even brighter as diverse activities across all five campuses became a vibrant crossroads of cultural diversity and community responsibility.

1. Little “global citizens” and the journey to touch the spirit of cultural diversity

For our Kindergarten students, shaping a global mindset begins with vivid, hands-on experiences. Through the Songkran Water Festival themed “Happy Water Festival”, little WASSers not only enjoyed the refreshing atmosphere but also “touched” the traditional beauty of Thailand. These practical, fun learning activities helped them understand the significance of splashing water as a wish for a peaceful new beginning.

The joy of discovery continued to spread at International Day, themed “Embrace Diversity: Hand in Hand for a Peaceful World”. Dressed in the vibrant traditional costumes of nations from across the five continents, the children learned to respect differences and understand the value of equality. At this event, the “world” was no longer just a concept on a map but became tangible through every smile and every pair of hands joined together for a peaceful world.

2. WASS fosters connection through diverse cultural values

Continuing the spirit of exploration, in April 2026, Easter Day was themed “Eggslore the Fun” for Primary, Secondary, and High School students. Moving beyond the scope of a traditional egg hunt, the event’s activities skillfully integrated lessons on patience and the courage to take on challenges.

By learning about the origins and significance of Easter in Western countries, students not only expanded their cultural knowledge but also strengthened the bonds of connection with their teachers and peers.

3. A global mindset accompanied by the responsibility to protect our green planet

One of the most meaningful highlights of April 2026 was Earth Day, an event organized for all WASSers from Kindergarten to High School.

While the “little warriors” of the Kindergarten enthusiastically embraced the mission “Tiny Hearts for Greener Earth” by learning how to recycle and plant seeds, the Primary, Secondary, and High School students demonstrated their prowess through the “Power Up the Planet” campaign. Together, they discussed and proposed sustainable solutions for the school environment and directly practiced a green lifestyle.

At WASS, the journey to protect the environment is not merely a temporary movement but has become an essential “green way of life”, ensuring that every individual recognizes the importance of preserving our “common home” for future generations.

As a brilliant April comes to a close, WASS believes that forming a “global mindset” is not a distant goal; rather, it is forged from a genuine appreciation for cultural differences and a sense of community responsibility starting today. These multifaceted experiences at school serve as a vital catalyst, helping WASSers continuously expand their worldview, ready to step onto the path of integration with the mindset of brave, kind, and compassionate global citizens.
