From academic competitions and technology-focused challenges to WAMUN’26 and after-school activities, February’s series of events offered WASSers a wide range of enriching learning experiences.

February at WASS was not only a time for students to study diligently and enjoy the warm spirit of the Lunar New Year, but also a series of proud milestones, where WASSers challenged their limits, expanded their connections, and demonstrated their capabilities across diverse arenas.

1. Reaching the global stage at VEX Robotics 2026

Right from the beginning of the month, exciting news from Hanoi brought great pride to the WASS community, as the “Talented Engineering Team” secured a spot at the VEX Robotics World Championship 2026 in the United States.

Beyond this remarkable achievement, the dedication of both students and teachers was further recognized with 2 outstanding awards: the Teamwork Champion Award presented to WASS-ITEAM and the Mentor of the Year Award presented to Mr. Nguyen Dong Bang.

Looking ahead, the team will represent Vietnam and WASS on the world’s largest robotics stage, continuing to write new milestones for the WASS community.

2. Challenging minds with Young Math Scholars

Held on January 27, 2026, Young Math Scholars provided an engaging academic platform where Years 2 – 3 WASSers approached mathematics through application and logical thinking.

During the 60-minute challenge, students applied their knowledge while collaborating effectively with teammates to analyze problems, uncover clues, and deliver accurate solutions. This process not only reinforced their foundation in the Western Australian curriculum but also enhanced their logical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and communication skills.

3. Inspiring leadership at WAMUN 2026

Alongside technological competitions, the Model United Nations Conference 2026 (WAMUN’26), organized by the Student Council from January 31 to February 1, created a dynamic academic forum.

Here, WASSers joined delegates from 26 schools across Ho Chi Minh City, taking on the roles of diplomats to discuss and propose solutions to global issues. Through this experience, students strengthened their critical thinking, in-depth research abilities, and negotiation skills in a multicultural environment.

4. Spreading kindness through Pink Day

Continuing the journey, Pink Day, held on February 25 – 26, 2026, filled WASS campuses with positive messages.

Beyond the vibrant color, the event featured meaningful activities that helped students better understand the value of kindness, learn to speak up against inappropriate behaviors, and actively contribute to building a safe, respectful learning environment where every individual is heard and valued.

February concluded with smiles and valuable lessons. Each activity and challenge served as a stepping stone – strengthening resilience, enriching knowledge, and building confidence – empowering WASSers to move forward in their journey toward global integration.
