WASS is licensed by the School Curriculum and Standard Authority to deliver the Western Australian Curriculum, which consists of 8 learning areas of study for students from preschool through year 12. English, Mathematics and Science follow the general curriculum of the Australian curriculum administered by ACARA (The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority),. The other learning areas – Humanities and Social Sciences, Health and Physical Education, Technologies, The Arts and Language – are adapted to suit Western Australian students; teacher and international students.

The subjects areas of the Western Australian program are developed around 8 essential skills to create confident, dynamic, creative and knowledgeable generations of students. WASS students become independent individuals who are fully equipped with the skills necessary to contribute to society. They become capable of communicating with and respecting the cultures of the nations, to work towards the good common interests and to be responsible members of the community. Skills applied in the subjects include: Literacy (Language), Numeracy (Numeracy), Information and communication technology (ICT) capability (Ability to apply information technology), Critical and creative thinking (From critical and creative, Personal and social capability (Personal and social capacity), Ethical understanding (Intercultural understanding), Intercultural understanding.

BILINGUAL PROGRAM

The learning areas of the Bilingual Program consist of the following F-10 subjects:
