Letter from the Board of Principals

Welcome parents and students to the end-of-summer newsletter of the Western Australian School System,

So we have spent a meaningful and interesting summer together. For students in Kindergarten, Primary, and Middle School, this is a time to relax after a challenging school year. At the same time, WASS summer courses also provide students with healthy playgrounds, both to practice soft skills and to review the necessary knowledge for them to step up to new grades.

For high school students, summer is the time when they try their best to complete the final exam. And the Board of Principals of WASS, as well as the teachers, were really proud of what the students achieved in the last exam.

The end of summer also signals the coming of a new school year. Along with the improvements in curricula and facilities, improving teachers’ quality of teaching and pedagogy remains a top priority at the Western Australian School System. Professional Development Week (PD training) is also an annual event at WASS to ensure the quality of teaching and learning, as well as get the best preparation for the new school year. During the training session, the teachers worked together to make a detailed plan of experiential activities for the students in the new school year. Creative and practical ideas have been given by the teachers to create lively practical learning sessions for the students.

Hopefully, along with the preparation of teaching, our teachers and WASSers will have a new school year with lots of exciting and wonderful experiences.

Let’s count down with WASS to welcome the new school year 2022 – 2023 with the theme “Make it a dream” on August 6, 2022, at Phu Tho Gymnasium.

Best regards,

The Board of Principals of WASS
