WASS is licensed and accredited respectively by the SCSA (School Curriculum and Standards Authority), IB (International Baccalaureate), and Greenville Area School District.

WASS is one of the only 18 international schools in Vietnam allowed to teach the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, one of the only 2 schools in Vietnam allowed to offer the Western Australian Certificate of Education international program (WACE International) and the Western Australian K-10 international program (WA K-10 International) in teaching. WASS is also the only one school in Vietnam allowed to teach the American Diploma Pathway.

Students who meet the graduation requirements of the programs will be awarded an international diploma in Vietnam which is recognized around the world.

The Western Australian Program

WASS is proud to be 1 of only 2 schools in Vietnam licensed by Department of Education WA to teach and is considered the Australian Oversea School.

The Western Australian International School System offers educational programs in a multicultural learning environment from kindergarten to high school. WASS provides a great learning environment and a solid foundation for students so they can develop comprehensively from their early years through to Year 12.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is an internationally recognized curriculum, designed for high school students between the ages of 16 and 19 years that aims to foster internationally-minded and well-rounded students. 

The DP curriculum is the best preparation for those who are moving on to further education as it produces young adults with a broad academic base, inquiring minds, and diverse social interests. It is respected by leading universities across the globe.

American Diploma Pathway (ADP)

Graduates of the American Diploma Pathway in WASS will receive a diploma from Greenville High School, authorized by the Greenville Area School District ,a National Blue Ribbon Award winning public high school with a legacy lasting more than two centuries.

Advanced Placement (AP)

AP Program (short for Advanced Placement) consists of 38 advanced, college-level courses for students who wish to challenge themselves and prepare ahead for college.

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) is a college entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to assess readiness for college-level work. Your SAT score is a major factor in college admissions, so it’s important to prepare to achieve your best score.

Membership

WASS officially became a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS) in December 2021.

To be recognized as a CIS member, WASS must meet 20 core standards in 8 domains, including: School Purpose and Direction; Governance, Leadership and Ownership; The Curriculum; Teaching and Assessing for Learning; Student Learning & Well-being; Staffing; Premises & Physical Accommodation; and Community & Home Partnerships.
